Regardless if you've just finalized a
long distance move or a
local move to Austin, you’ve endured the procedure of transporting all of your items from your old house, and now you’re facing a large bundle of boxes and bags post move here in Austin. Well, don’t commence unpacking quite yet! There are a variety of things that you can perform that’ll give you a more stress free experience post-moving. So before you remove the first bit of tape from your packages, examine these few things to save some time and bother.
- Take the time to clean and paint before you begin unpacking all your stuff. It’s a ton simpler to wipe down the baseboards, sweep the carpets, and get down any stray cobwebs prior to taking out your pictures, shelves, and other decorations.
- After you’ve got your walls and floors cleaned up and in good condition, spread your boxes to their proper room. Begin unpacking one room at a time to help keep things focused and organized. It will also help keep you from feeling overpowered by the amount of work you have to do.
- After you’ve moved and you’re starting the unpacking process, you’re probably going to note that you transported some objects with you that you really don’t have a spot for. This happens to everyone no matter how much clutter they try to weed out. Even people who have had garage sales previous to their move will always end up with a few items they don’t need or want. Go ahead and collect these items up and give them to a local charity.
By taking a small amount of time to organize yourself after your
